BRAMPTON - Why not beat those winter blues by enjoying an evening of jazz, blues and swing? The Shelburne Stage Band will be performing at Grace Tipling Hall, Feb. 23 at 8 p.m. As a added feature, Joe and Liz Allingham & Friends will also perform.
It should be a toe tapping night. Tickets, at $10 each, are available at the Shelburne Town Hall or Holmes Appliance and Music Shop.
WIND AND WARMTH
Many residents of Dufferin County believe they live in the windiest part of the world, and if you stand on top of the Niagara Escarpment or wait for the light at the corner of Broadway and First in Orangeville you feel they might just be right.
Feb. 11, the Dufferin County Museum and Archives is hosting its newest exhibit, Wind and Warmth. This exhibit captures how the wind has played an important role in Dufferin's history and celebrates the folk art of our area. The exhibit will feature quilts made in Dufferin County that helped the settlers keep warm, and the diverse collection of whirligigs collected by artist Robert Markle and his wife Marlene, and donated in 2004 to the museum.
Interspersed with the Wind and Warmth artifacts will be photographs and mementos from wind events in Dufferin, including the tornadoes of 1985 and 1996.
The exhibit runs Feb. 11 to May 19 in the museum's Mezzanine Gallery. For more information, call 705-435-1881 or 877-941-7787 or visit www.dufferinmuseum.com./a>
MARTIAL ARTS

TEEN DANCE
Teens don't miss the Cosmic Kaos Dance at the the Centre Dufferin Recreation Centre, Feb. 16 from 7 to 10 p.m. This dance is hosted by the figure skating club.
