It took less that 15 minutes for two men to commit three robberies in a Brampton neighbourhood, and your anonymous call to Crime Stoppers can assist the police in identifying the suspects.
This all started on the evening of Monday March 10th, when at around 9:15, an A–1 Taxi driver picked up a fare from the Lick’s Restaurant on Queen Street. He was asked to be driven to the Fleetwood Crescent area, and upon his arrival in the complex, the two suspects told the driver to stop at a specific location. One suspect produced a handgun and demanded the victim’s money, while the second suspect choked the victim from behind. The suspects were able to remove a small quantity of money and some of the victim’s personal property.
Five minutes later, these same two suspects approached another A–1 Taxi driver in front of 3 Knightsbridge Road. They asked the driver to take them to a plaza on Eastbourne Drive, but before leaving the complex parking lot, the driver was ordered to stop. Again, one suspect brandished a handgun and demanded the victim’s money. The suspects were able to take a small quantity of cash and the victim’s cell phone.
At around 9:30 that same evening, a man was walking in front of the apartment complex at 5 King’s Cross Road. He was approached by the same two suspects from the earlier Taxi robberies. A brief fight ensued and one of the suspects motioned to the victim that he would shoot him if he did not stop. The two suspects ran from the area after stealing the victim’s cell phone.
Both suspects are described as male, black, in their late teens to early 20’s. They were both wearing dark clothing, one with a dark coloured hooded jacket or sweater. During one of the robberies, one suspect wore a dark coloured baseball hat.
All three of these robberies occurred within a very small geographical area, and took less than 15 minutes to complete. It is probable that the two suspects either live in, or frequent the area.
